Step by step
- 1
Open your client directory
From your dashboard, click Clients in the left-hand menu. This opens your full client directory.
- 2
Import an existing list
If you already have a client list, use the Import button in the top right corner to bring your database over instead of typing it in again.
- 3
Add a client manually
Otherwise, click the yellow Add Client button in the top right corner. Choose whether they're a property manager, an owner or another type of customer, then enter the basics: their name, mobile and primary email.
- 4
Add more details if you need them
Click Add more details to set a dedicated billing email, office phone, primary contact, payment terms, ABN and how they prefer to be contacted. You can also leave internal notes for the team, like site access or special instructions.
- 5
Add their property and save
Start typing the property address to link their location automatically, then click Create client. Everything else can be filled in later.
- 6
Work from the client profile
Once created, you land on their profile page: client details on the left and an interactive property map on the right, along with their linked properties and associated jobs.
- 7
Merge duplicates and find clients fast
If a duplicate record ever appears, use Merge duplicate at the top of the client profile to clean it up. To find anyone later, search by name, email, phone number or address, or filter the list by client type.
What you'll achieve
- Your existing client list brought across
- New clients added with the right contact and billing details
- Properties and jobs linked to each client profile
Pro tips
- Import first, then tidy up - it's quicker than adding clients one at a time.
- Use a separate billing email for property managers so invoices reach their accounts team.
- Internal notes stay inside kepd - clients never see them.
